VIDEOZOOM were commissioned to produce a video to promote Newgrange Gold Camelina Oil via the company’s Nutrition Club which follows three women’s journeys in discovering the taste and health benefits of seed oils guided by nutritionist Lucy Hyland.
Newgrange Gold are launching the first Camelina oil into the Irish market, and it’s Irish! Camelina is grown in the Boyne region, cold pressed and bottled on the Newgrange Gold farm. It’s been awarded a three star Great Taste Award by the Guild of Fine Foods 2013.
Camelina is a unique oil as it has exceptionally high omega 3 – 38.6g / 100ml (our rapeseed has 13.8g/100ml and olive oil has 4g / 100ml) as well as the desired 2 to 1 ratio of omega 3 to omega 6, plus it is high in antioxidants such as Vitamin E.
Camelina retains it’s high nutritional content throughout its 12-16 month shelf life, and also has a smoke point of up to 246 degrees centigrade and is suitable for cooking at low to moderate heat. This makes the oil suitable for a large number of recipes as well as dipping, drizzling or making dressings. This product was winner of the most sustainable/environmental product at SHOP in the RDS.
